Jessica Dwyer started Fangirl Radio 4 years ago.   The show is an extension of Fangirl Magazine, with Jessica and her co-hosts recapping the Week In Geek, themed episodes, and great interviews with artists and creators in the entertainment world.  Over the years the show has had guests such as Norman Reedus, Elijah Wood, Leigh Whannell, Zoe Bell, and Steven Moffatt.  

 

Starting two years ago, Fangirl Radio began the tradition of having a special Halloween episode.  Each Halloween Special has been penned by Jessica and is acted out with the help of her co-hosts and features special guests who are in on the act.  The first Fangirl Halloween Special featured Greg Nicotero from The Walking Dead and Alexandre O. Philippe, director of Doc of the Dead, and had the Fangirls fighting off zombies (of course.)  2014 saw the Fangirls taking on alien body snatchers out to take over the wold and included Mark Miller, co-writer with Clive Barker on New Testament.   

 

Fangirl Radio keeps growing in popularity and has many of their guests return because of the fun they have on the show.  Jessica and her co-hosts have a great time on the show and it comes across in their interviews.  But they know their stuff and that comes across too along with a respect for the guests and what they do.  

 

You can listen to Fangirl Radio on the Jackalope Radio Network (which is syndicated via numerous stations in the mid-west.)  You can also stream and download episodes via iTunes, Tune In Radio, and Soundcloud.  Episodes are also uploaded to the Fangirl Magazine YouTube channel.
